Rolling in market kill...and recent acquisitions...picture heavy!

Finally have all my market wants...Heartstring Samplery's "Permit Me Not to Stray", Blackbird Designs new book, "A Stitcher's Journey" and Plum Street Samplers "The Flood." Those three were must haves for me, although I have no immediate plans to stitch them...so they will be filed on the backburner...

Recent acquisitions: GPA's Italian Peacock's Purse...could not resist this piece. Loved the colors...Threadgatherer Silk 'N Colors (try getting all those colors) one is still on backorder...might have to substitute.

And Jane Atkinson...thanks to Margaret Chess and Siobhan's enabling oh and Robert...I'd like to move this to the top of my pile...

Then there are some WIPs...Wash Day...spent a good 4-5 hours on this one yesterday listening to The Help on audiobook...fabulous...didn't want to stop either of them. The fabric I'm using is called Hog Wild Blue from R&R. The picture does not do it justice. I absolutely love this...It's a dirty blue and I think it's perfect for this cute little piece. I plan on hanging this in my laundry room.

And..."All Our Troubles" by La-D-Da...so fun!

A recent must-have...from Silent Stitches...very reasonably priced for a cute, wooden, hand-painted box.

I'm just biding my time until my online kit arrives from Jackie, I'm going to stitch Lady Jane's Garden. Call me crazy! Tons of Queen Stitches! I'll show my WIP when the class begins. I've got to stop the madness...soon! LOL! And my weekend has just begun...the laundry is done, well except for ironing a few shirts for Wayne...but I can listen to The Help while doing that. The house is pretty much clean...well I could always go to the basement and load up some things that need to leave my house...Hoarders anyone? Enjoy your weekend! Next weekend: Two classes with Catherine Theron...Morning Has Broken, and Quaker Scissor Pocket, so I'll be adding 2 more WIPs...Oh Heck! Why not?

Cathy! You're an enabler! Where did you get that cute box? Also--I see you did finally succumb to the Flood. Good for you. I'll never catch up with your stitching!
Thanks for sharing!

Love your wash day Cathy! Just acquired this chart myself. What threads are you using? It doesn't look like DMC? Also love your new stash. The Help is wonderful. I read it last year at this time. Looking for a good read for my trip to Tucson next week. Great to read your blog as usual.

Love your Wash Day, and your La D Da piece too. Both are wonderful! Have fun at the Catherine Theron classes. Can't wait to get my kit!

Awesome stash acquisitions, Cathy! The painted box is wonderful and your stitching is so pretty! Love the La-d-Da piece. I have that in my stash and will stitch it one of these days. Enjoy your classes with Catherine. Can't wait to watch your MHB progress!

Heck, why not is right. I'm suppose to get Morning Has Broken too and what the heck - it's just another one to add to the WIP pile.

Love your stash and that box. Is it cute or what? If I could think of someplace to put it I'd buy one (well, not having a place never stopped me before! LOL). Love your stitching too!

Love the La-D-Da How did I miss that! I think I will have to move The Flood up the list but oh Plenty and Grace is nice too. What to do-What to do. Have fun stitching and your class next week. I suggest listening to The Roses. Covers 3 generations of a family in East Texas.

Fantastic stash acquisitions!! You go girl! I love everything. I love your WIPs, too. I love the La D Das.

I am insanely jealous that you're listening to The Help. I just LOVED that audio book and need to re-listen to it. I loved every minute of it. The same reader/narrator who does the voice of Skeeter also did Brigid Pasulka's "A Long, Long Time Ago & Essentially True" and "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt" by Beth Hoffman and made them even more wonderful with her voice. I think I could listen to her read the dictionary!

Hi Cathy,

Your Sally's Sampler is wonderful. I think it's my favorite piece in the Remember Me series.
Little McKenzie is just darling! Looks like she is enjoying learning to stitch.
Looks like you found some great things from market. I hadn't seen the painted box! Great find.

What a market haul! I had never noticed that particular La-D-Da before. Now I am going to be on the hunt. And I really like your finished BBD sampler. I have that one ready to start.
