I spoiled myself with some stash enhancement I received last week. Can't wait to get started!
I finished another Blackbird box...Coxcomb Sewing Box...and sent it to a dear friend in Toronto. My daughter, Christy, and her best friend Sally (Peg's daughter) will be hand-delivering it to her tomorrow. This project was a pleasure from the first stitch to the last and from painting the box to the last finishing touches. It was fun all around. I think the best part of making something for a special person, is all the time you are making it, fond memories flow about them! Miss you Peg!

All packed up and ready to go...it's a tiny box...only about 5 inches across...

This part is underneath the lid and is a verse found on Plum Street Samplers "A Friendship Samplers" and sums up everything I feel about Peg. She'll be moving back home in July and I just can't wait!

Where in the world does one find the pattern for the beautiful design on the sewing box? Do you know the name of it? It is simply gorgeous and anybody would be thrilled to have that box. Simply gorgeous! Nancy in WI

your Coxcomb box is just delightful. My friend has had this on her wish list but I didn't realise that it was so small. A beautiful gift for your dear friend. Love your 'Tis the Season' too - I am stitching this one at the moment.
