After holding a vigil with friends all day on Monday, the house didn't come down and is still standing 6 days later. Who knows what is going on. Between UDOT, Ames Construction and the demolition company, I'm convinced there are too many bosses and not enough workers! Here's the way the house looks today after "vultures" took what they wanted and then the vandals started in. Thursday some guy came with one of those big tree trucks and plucked two of the largest evergreen trees right out of the ground and drove off. Just for this week I wish we had moved across the country so we didn't have to see what has happened to our house. I'm convinced that after the house goes down, we will then truly be able to enjoy the new one.
We're on our way to Scott and Kim's house this afternoon. Scott is turning 28 this week and so we're celebrating by going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and playing with the babies on Scott's new 4-wheewer as Brayden puts it. I'll post pictures later. Have a great weekend everyone!

Cathy, hope you can put things out of your mind and enjoy yourself this evening. I am so sorry, it's doubly hard when you've prepared yourself for something and then it is delayed. {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Love you tons... HUGS -
Oh Cathy, I'm so sorry! You poor thing! It's good you have the birthday celebration to distract you. I'll be thinking of you.
I have driven by about 4 times this last week and the house is still there. It is so sad. I
can't imagine how upsetting it has been for you.
Hugs to you and Wayne. We think about you and wish we were still working together...wait...we are! Have you been released yet?
Oh yeah and yesterday the jetted tub was sitting in the garage!
