Birthday Fun!

Yesterday was my birthday! Another year older and wiser too! For the first time in as long as I can remember I got to celebrate my birthday with Miss Cari and Miss Smarty both! How fun is that? We went to Market Street Grill for dinner and had just a fabulous time chatting and enjoying each other's company. Wish I'd taken a picture of us!

Miss Cari did get a picture of me opening my presents. Note my darling apron that my friend Dwendy gave me! Sitting on my lap is my new baby doll, Bitty Baby! Christy gave me Bitty Baby and 2 yummy cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Really, Bitty Baby is for Gramma's House. How fun is that? I need to get online and order up a couple of outfits for her!

And...on my birthday I got a shipment from Jill Rensel...2 pieces that she framed for me! Wahoo!
The first picture is "A Needleworker's Sampler" designer - Ellen Chester

And the second one is called "The Song They Sang" by Carriage House Samplings

Our house is ready for moving in! Can you believe it? We have to wait for the bank to catch up with us, but that should be soon and we're hoping they will let us start moving boxes next week. Wayne has 2 weeks off starting tomorrow and he'll work getting the garage moved, while I continue to pack the house.

I do miss my dad. I missed his phone call on my birthday and will continue to miss that the rest of my life. He was such a great dad and was always so good to me and my siblings and family. I have wonderful memories of him and will miss him coming for Sunday dinners. Wyoming will never be the same without my dad!

Here's a picture of me and my dad taken in 1969 just before I went with him to a Daddy Daughter Date at the church. Look how cute he was, and I knew he loved me!

Next is a picture of me and Miss Smarty. We had matching outfits that our mother made for us. Miss Smarty was 18 and I was 12. What 18-year-old would be thrilled to have a matching outfit with her 12-year-old sister? All I can say, though, is she must of loved me...hairdo and all!
Thanks for all your kind comments on my dad's passing. Love to you all! Cathy
