Here's what I've been up to...

I did a lot of stitching for gifts during the fall months and into December. I finished these little boxes (of course they are from a Blackbird book) for my sisters for Christmas. Once they were done, I took some quick snaps and off to the post office they went and not one day too early. They did arrive in time for Christmas morning. They were a tad fussy when doing the finishing work, but I survived it! I also sent one home with Aussie Helen (forgot to take a picture).

I'm also in the thros of stitching "Tis the Season" (another Blackbird) for my friend Peg. It was her Christmas gift but I didn't think of stitching it for her until it was too late to do so. So I'm trying to get it finished up very quickly. Nothing like giving a person some linen and thread and then saying, "Okay, give it back now!" which is exactly what I did! I'm sure she was thinking, "Hey, what the what?" Actually she was probably relieved that I wasn't going to make her stitch it! HA! I am making great progress on this one and love stitching with Belle Soie silk!

I have a list of WIPs (works in progress) that I'd like to finish this year if at all possible. That will be my next post in a few days.

The sun is shining here in Utah and I'm enjoying it, although the temperature right now at 10:30 a.m. is only 28. I'm holed up in my office with an electric heater and a heating pad on the floor to keep my piggy toes warm! Have a lovely day!

You do the most amazing projects, Cathy!! I love the boxes--they might have been fiddly but you did a fantastic job with them! The pieces inside are so nice. Love your cardinal, too.
