Stitching and other things.

Well...I have been stitching. I started another huge project and quickly got tired of it, Carriage House Samplings, "My Home Town". I'm putting it away until after the holidays. I just didn't want to stitch on it! What's up with that?? So, I've picked up some other projects out of my stash, some small, gratifying ones to keep my little fingers busy while watching the first season of Vampire Diaries...(can I just say, delicious eye candy for an old woman??) LOL! Anyway, first up is a picture of Blackbird's Reward of Merit pincushion, called "Bluebird" Very fun to stitch and quick. I haven't done the finishing but will get to that another day.

Next up is a very cute Lizzie*Kate that I won off of Laura Busby's blog last Christmas. Just started it this morning, when I woke up and we had 4 inches of snow on the ground! So fun! I'm actually excited to stitch again!

Here are just a few pictures of my autumn yard and the breathtaking mountains I get to look at every day of my life here in Utah. The yard and mountains were covered with snow this morning...wish I'd taken some pictures, but preferred a nap instead. Maybe next time!

Oh I've definitely started a project and felt uninspired by it. Just look at my UFO pile and you'll see. lol! You'll get back to it. In the meantime, I love what you ARE stitching. Wonderful!! And your fall pics are wonderful too. Snow? You've just made me shudder. lol!

I have had that happen before. Love the smaller pieces and instant gratification is a good thing :-).

Gorgeous yard and mountain pics too. Every time I see pictures of your backyard I want to redo mine, LOL.

Oh your yard is LOVELY !! It was so great to see again...reminds me of sisters and stitching!

I've been stitching on my small stash of BBD stockings. I'm just not inspired to stitch on anything larger....ugh. Oh well....

Hugs and take some snaps of the snow !! xoxo

Beautiful pictures Cathy!! Love your little finish and LK start. I keep forgetting I have that ornament and want to stitch it this year! Thanks for the reminder! :)

Cathy, I got a great laugh... I am right there with you on Vampire Diaries!! My 16 & 20 yr old daughters weren't too impressed with it at first but I am just LOVING that Stefan! Hubba hubba. I wouldn't kick Damon out of bed for farting, either, but don't tell my husband that. ;)

I hear you on My Hometown! I love it and want to have it finished, I just can't bring myself to work on it for long stretches of time. I've been jonesing for a CHS fix, though, so might pick it back up. I love your BBD & L*K! Small things are fun when you just can't get into a sampler. I need to focus a bit more on smaller things--they are such nice window dressings for samplers and framed pieces.

Beautiful yard pics! Snow! Wow.

Beautiful pics of your beautiful "neighborhood"...snow! I can't wait. They keep talking about it here today in Michigan - but just a few flakes...then we go back to the upper 50's and perhaps 60's next week - what's up with that! Love your stitching progress - I need to get back to it!
