Last week we had the pleasure of having Miss McKenzie come and have a sleep over for her birthday. On Monday she and I had a "Gramma Date." First we went to get her toenails and fingernails painted a fabulous purple glitter color with some fancy flowers on some of them. Then we went to the mall for some shopping time. We rode the mall's "Casey Jr." and also the cute carousel there (of course she chose the horse with all the flowers). We stopped for lunch at Hot Dog on a Stick for a corn dog and fresh lemonade (her choice), and then went to Build-A-Bear Workshop where McKenzie chose a darling, soft little bunny to build. When she was finished, she named her LuLu! We had a fabulous time shopping and playing! After LuLu was built, she wanted to go right back to our house so she could play with LuLu, and we waited for Papa Wayne to get home from work (while gramma crashed on the couch)...then we took her home to an awaiting family crowd to enjoy a fun family birthday party! Happy Birthday to my cute little McKenzie, who incidentally, started first grade last Monday!
After a day of shopping, what girl doesn't want a little power nap before a party??
