Next up is just a picture of sewing "stuff" I threw in a cute wooden bowl my mother gave me years ago as a Valentine gift. The spools of thread are from her stash of old thread. The huge safety pin was something we found in a junk drawer at my parents' house and I remember it as a child so I snatched it up. The scissors are something I just bought off of eBay. Fun things sitting on my "pin cushion table."

I've been at it again, covering more boxes with fabric. Needed a couple for my sisters for our "sister vacation" next month. Not to worry...they've already seen the pictures because I wanted them to pick theirs out.

Well, I should be working but stopped by to follow some blogs and ended up posting...have a great weekend!

Love the boxes, can I be your sister ;-)?
Congrats on the finish, cute, cute, cute.
Yeah, do you need another sister?! ;) LOL, they are great!! Your sisters will love them.
I just love how you finished off your BBD! What a neat treasure to have, too--your mom's sewing notions. It must warm your heart whenever you see them.
Your BBD box turned out great and I love it nestled in with all the goodies from your mom. Also, love the heart shaped wood bowl - how pretty!
Your boxes are wonderful - I just love 'em!
Oh wow! Great finish on the BBD box! And I love all the goodies in that bowl! Never seen such a huge safety pin! Your covered boxes are just so beautiful. Katrina and Siobhan are right -- I want to be your sister too! lol!

How fun are you!!!!!
Okay, two questions...how do you do the box top (just wrap it around a padded cardboard and glue it with a fun trim?
and two, I would love a quick explanation on how you did those darling fabric boxes!!! ModgePodge? Hot Glue? SEWN in? They're simply adorable!!!
In case we're getting a girl (we find out next week) I need to spruce up a little boys room. :)
I think your BBD box is fantastic! And I love your goodies from your mom. I just came across a little box full of spools of thread that were my grandmothers - they have the coolest labels at the end, so I may have to borrow your idea and put them out on display. You've really sparked my interest with your covering of all those boxes - they're just so pretty!
I don't have a sister....can you be mine?????? :)
Beautiful finish on the BBD!! And I love your sewing "things"!!
Take care
Marion
