This is called "Spring Fling" and I saw it all stitched up at the Shepherd's Bush Retreat last September. I bought the linen there but never could seem to find the chart, as the Bush was sold out. Well...a very kind lady on Legacy Embroiderer's Guild sold me her chart and I couldn't wait to get started with it. It's taken me about 3 weeks to stitch...and I really haven't been spending much time stitching, maybe an hour here and there. I enjoyed this project a lot because of the colors and it's simple cross stitch!
Last week was the Salt Lake County Fair and I submitted a few entries. I received the Sweepstakes ribbon and High Blue, and Blue for a Merry Cox project I started and finished a couple of years ago. This piece was so fun to do! I was excited to get the ribbons, but sad that not much cross stitch was entered in the fair! Christy entered a quilt and received a blue ribbon as well! YAY for US!

Way to go Cathy! You still would have recieved the high awards if a hundred other entries were submitted.

Wow! Congratulations on your blue ribbons! I love both pieces -- that spring green is my kinda color. And I love that Merry Cox piece that won you those ribbons!
Congratulations on your beautiful ribbons!!! :)
P.S. - I love your blinkie - It's good to be queen. So cute!
Congrats to both you & Christy on the blue ribbons! Yay! I think the lack of entries in shows is happening everywhere..it certainly happened here this year. I'm wondering what I can enter next year?
Congratulations on your ribbons!
Your BBD piece is very pretty, too :)
Congratulations on the ribbons! You must have so happy. And the piece you submitted is great! Spring Fling is wonderful too. The colors are so nice and the fabric goes so well with them.
Woooooohoo!!! Lots of congratulations, for the beautiful finish, and for the beautiful stitching that garnered ribbons. You go girl! You should be busting your buttons with pride. :)
I always new you were a "winner" Way to go Aunt Cathy...Congrats!!!
wonderful Cathy, congratulations !! I became a grandma this evening at about 7:30. Little Kyle James was born, 8lbs and 20 inches long. He's adorable and I already love him to pieces !
hugs !!
Spring Fling looks gorgeous! Love the fabric and thread colours. Well done on getting the chart too.
Congrats on your ribbons also - well deserved. :)
A great big congratulations, Cathy! That is awesome. I do know what you mean about the lack of cross stitching entered in fairs in the last few years. Guess people just don't enter, like they should.
Good for you though, I always enjoy sharing my work, even if I don't win, but if I do, that makes it even better!
