Lexie's little finish

Here's a quick picture of Lexie's birth sampler. It's been finished for over a week but I've been debating it...a lot. For some reason I'm just not that crazy about it. My stitching friends tell me that how I frame it will make it. This is La-D-Da's "A Bushel and a Peck." I love the saying and the design. I think it is the conversion colors. But I never was crazy about the colors that the designer used either....hummm...what to do?? I'm taking it to Jill Rensel to frame, maybe she can give me some ideas! I want Lexie's sampler to be something that she will cherish. I did have fun stitching it and thought about her all the while. That little girl is just so sweet!

Oh what a lovely idea to stitch that gorgeous sampler for a baby sampler. I would have never thought of that. I stitched the very same sampler for my husband for a special '0' birthday and always loved it. There is a photo of it in my album under 'framed stitching'
You did a great job and I am sure Lexy will treasure it.

It looks great, but if you're getting Jill to do the framing, you've got no need to worry. She'll work her wonders with it, I'm sure. Lexie is such a cutie!

Lexie is just adorable!! She is too cute. Her sampler is fabulous, I say leave it as is. It'll grow on you. I have some of those finishes where I look at it afterwards and think, 'okay, now why did I stitch it again??'... but they do grow on me. Jill Rensel will do an amazing job with it, think the icing and buttercream rose on the delicious cupcake. You did a great job.
