Missing in Action...

Yes, I've been missing in action for over a month now. Christmas was fabulous, my birthday was fabulous, but in between all that I have been a tad sick with a wicked kidney infection which landed me in the hospital for a few days. I think the worst trauma of all was having to quit my vice, Diet Coke. Oh the horrors! I guess water is my new best friend! I haven't felt much like blogging at all. But, I do promise to get back to taking pictures again and blogging again. I have been stitching a little bit over the last week so I will bring my blog up to date soon!

Oh Cathy! I'm so sorry to hear about your kidney infection! Ouch! And diet Coke -- yikes! Well, as one who pretty much drinks only water or milk, I can tell you that a water only liquid intake is quite satisfactory once you're used to it. I hope you won't miss the diet Coke too much. :( Feel better! I hope you get to stitch while you're recovering!

No fun for you!!! Glad you're feeling better.

I agree with Margaret...once you get used to good ole' H2O, there's nothing better. :) I'm not a big drinker of anything, but this week, I've downed about 6 water bottles each day...only because I've been teaching like mad, but at the same time, I surprised myself by actually enjoying all that water. Now, if only my bladder would agree. :)

I'm so sorry to hear that you've had that infection. That is awful. I had one years ago, so I know just what you've gone through. I hope that you get over not being able to drink Diet Coke quickly. I used to be real Coke fiend myself, but the regular coke. It was a hard habit to kick, but I've found that water is truly the best thing.

Hope that you feel better and get back to stitching soon!!

Oh, no! So sorry to hear about your kidney infection and hospitalization. Yuck! Yep, water is good for you so drink up. I need to do a little more of that myself and give up all the crap I drink. I'll think about that tomorrow....

Be well! We're glad you're back.

A kidney infection, how awful! It's horrible when you have to give up something you enjoy, but your health is most important. I never liked water much but have tried to drink more of it. You do get used to it after a while. You're just lucky the doctor didn't tell you to give up your cross stitching!!! lol

I was wondering where you've been! I'm so sorry to hear about the kidney infection and the hospital visit. :P My daughter is a Diet Coke junkie so I can imagine the withdraw from it. Hang in there! Hope to see some stitchy pics from you soon. Take care of yourself and get better!
