The 'ol 66

Nothin' like taking the 'ol 66 for a Saturday spin in the autumn leaves...

No AC tho...oh excuse me...There is 260 AC...2 windows down..going 60 miles per hour! What a ride! We were drawing attention from all the guys on the interstate...thumbs up...Wayner loves that! When we're driving along and Wayne sees a cool car, we have to get up alongside it and then give them the "thumbs up" signal...which, of course, means, "Dude! You have a cool car!" So important to the male ego...or some male egos...my male's (aka Wayner) ego!

Okay, so here's the story about our fall drive. I work Saturday mornings and I knew we were going to take the 66 for a drive...so I tried to hurry and get all my work done, get showered, and off we would go...yeah...that happened for sure. Then I'm thinking to myself...we'll drive around up in the canyons and find this wonderful little place to have lunch...the Spring Chicken Inn...up by Coalville...I've heard they have great food...

Well, we get up the canyon, take the pictures you see here, get back in the car and on the interstate, and promptly drive home, store the car back in the garage...and proceed on with the day...not to mention I had to fix lunch when we got home! Romantic? Not so much... oh and we smelled like 427 engine exhaust the rest of the day...I could still smell it in my hair when we retired for the night! Sigh...

Nice pictures!! Too bad you didn't get your romantic lunch. :( The realities of life, right? lol! What is it with men and their boy toys? Mine just goes for the computer variety, so I just deal with the heat from the fan as the laptop heats up. No exhaust fumes at least! lol!
