Okay...I've been slacking in the blogging department lately. I did take a wonderful class from Diane Clements with the Swan Sampler Guild about 10 days ago. At the class we learned the art of reticello...a form of lace making. Needless to say...I didn't have my prestitching done for the class, so spent most of my class time doing that. Here's a few pictures of Diane's finished sampler. The first one is of the reticello part and the other two are the top of the sampler. Diane was a fabulous teacher and is a very patient woman!

Hopefully my life will be exciting enough to add something to my blog at some point in the near future...at least the weather this week has been fabulous! YAY!

SMALL WORLD!!!! I LOVE Nettie!!! Please tell her I say HI! I didn't know her sister as well, but Nettie and I had a few classes together, she is a gem! Wow. I'm gonna have to look her up on facebook! Do you know if she has a blog? Feel free to pass her my email!
That stitching is BEAUTIFUL!!! *sigh* I miss doing that intricate kind of thing...I miss stitching, period! My last project on linen was 6 years ago! Can you believe it!
'bout time you updated your blog.!!! The reticello is something else isn't it? Beautiful!! Love you tons
Cathy, you should update when you feel like it! I always enjoy it when you do though. :D That class piece is amazing! Reticello -- that is wonderful! Was it hard to learn? Now that I see the piece up close, I know I was right to pass up on this one -- no way I'd have the patience to do all those specialty stitches! Thanks for the wonderful pictures. To die for!
What a beautiful class piece! I would not have the patience to do the reticello part but I am looking forward to seeing yours!
Beautiful Cathy! Sounds like a great class! Can't wait to see your progress! :)
