Ornie's from JCS past and present.

Wayne leaves for work at 5:45 and lately after he leaves for work I slump over on the couch in front of the Christmas tree and happily snore along while Christy gets ready for work. This morning I decided to not waste time sleeping...I had a little finishing fest. This is a La-D-Da ornament from a couple of years ago...finally finished it! (And yes, I did copy Deb Hunter's finishing version! When I saw how she'd finished it for Katrina, I promptly printed a picture so I could copy her fabulous finishing, although my finishing isn't nearly as neat as what she does.)

And here's the La-D-Da ornament from this year's issue...harder to stitch than it looked...I had to count...go figure! Anyway...my version of the finishing (yes, I did use glue)! Glad it's done and I will certainly have to stitch it again because it used 4 different Glorianna colors...and if you ever buy that brand you know how much $$ they are! Sheesh! I have enough for a gazillion more (well maybe not a gazillion).

And here's some words of advice to all of you this holiday season!

Wow! You are one fantastic finisher! I love both ornaments -- just beautiful! I loved your story about cutting down a Christmas tree btw. I remember those days of 5 million layers and snowsuits and the problem of going to the bathroom. lol!

Hmmm...I wrote a comment but it's disappeared! I love the finishing on your ornaments. They turned out beautiful! Your stitching sign is wonderful! Would you share where you bought it?

I ♥ that last little saying....cause I indeed have a lot of sewing to do in the next 13 days.

2 quilts...a sock monster, a stocking, and neighbor gifts...yikes!

Say, why don't you stitch my stress away on your projects, and I'll rain check all those gifts for Easter...or Memorial Day. :)

I love both your ornaments Cathy! And who cares if you used glue or not - you got them finished and that's all that counts. They look great!

Take care!

Love that sign. How true it is. Your finishing is lovely, Cathy. I know what you mean about Deb. I think she's the finishing queen! I marvel at her work.

Thanks for dropping by and catching up on my blog recently. I'm glad you and your DH enjoyed my Christmas music. I loved reading your comment! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
