Sorry it's been so long since I posted. Stitching on the home front has been almost nil since finishing Queen Sofia. Summer always gets in the way. Last night DH and I had tickets to the John Mayer concert at USANA Amphitheater. I was excited to hear him in concert. I should have known that DH and I are getting too old for concerts... By the time we drove through all the traffic, parked, walked like 10 miles from the parking lot, found our seats, sat in the sun for seemingly hours, listened to some terrible band play before Colbie...I was exhausted. DH was just humoring me anyway...He didn't really want to go...was a drone the whole night. Need I say more? I guess Mr. Mayer was good in concert. He really likes jamming on his guitar...I just wanted to hear his songs that I loved, most of which he didn't play....or I couldn't recognize them because he changed them so much with his jammin... I told DH today that next time I get the hair-brained idea to go to a concert that he should slap me! LOL! He told me that next time I could find a friend to go with! I would have had more fun if he'd of stood up and danced with me like everyone else...but he was such a drone. On the flip side, Colbie Caillat opened for John Mayer and she was really fabulous. She sang a ton of her songs that I liked and I really enjoyed listening to her. Now that I think about it and it's all a memory...it was actually a good memory! We just didn't get much sleep because we got home so late. For your listening pleasure, I have put a YouTube video on of Colbie singing my favorite song.
And John Mayer sings: 83

Cathy that is so funny about your DH. I think men are all the same! My DH would act the same...but first of all I'd have to get him go to the concert with me!!
I agree, Alison! DH would do the exact same, if he actually went! I must admit, he did come to see Jimmy Barnes with me in April! I know, I know, only us Aussies know who he is LOL
Cathy,
I think that it's so cool that you and hubby went to a concert. I can't imagine my parents going. I think you are so adorable. Love ya, Angela
