I did it! Wahoo! I finished my sewing bag and chatelaine last week! I completed all the stitching on these pieces last summer. In September, my sister, Cari, came for a visit from Florida and we did the finishing on the bag, and it took us 3 days to accomplish. Two weeks ago Queen Cari finished all her chatelaine pieces and I could not be left behind...so I did all the finishing last week. Actually, it was not that hard to accomplish. I started with the easiest pieces first and worked up to the hardest pieces which I thought would be the thimble slipper and hand cream bag. Really, though, they were not that hard to do either. I enjoyed doing the finishing a lot! Hubby was out of town and so I set up a nice big table in front of the TV and enjoyed watching movies and the lot and doing all my finish work. I'm really excited to have this project all finished. Now to find just the right place to display them! Tuesday, June 17, 2008

Great job Cathy...I knew you could do it! It looks just gorgeous and I can't wait to see it 'in the flesh' so to speak. LOL.
How beautiful Cathy! I can feel your excitement.
So pretty! And fun - and time consuming - and theraputic!
Congratulations on finishing it!
PS - the shower was absolutely wonderful! you guys are the best! I recorded Tricia opening the 'gift' and I thought Keith was going to pummle me, trying to get my camera! I finally told him I deleted it, after showing my mom and sisters, of course! He so wanted to see what she got, but I told him No Way, No How!
